Actively Recruiting Studies

Multisensory Intervention for Acute Stress Recovery and Spontaneous-State Modulation

A randomized controlled trial of a multisensory intervention device for stress recovery, autonomic regulation, and spontaneous-state modulation in healthy adults. Can a multisensory device meaningfully accelerate recovery from acute stress — and do it without dulling vigilance the way many anxiolytics do?

RECHARGE POD LTD

Validation of a Novel Optical Sensor for Consciousness Detection

Can a purely optical device really track the presence and quality of conscious experience? Could the Sentiometer — a novel instrument using a low-energy laser and photodiode array — offer a new biophysical signal channel for detecting consciousness beyond what EEG and neuroimaging already reveal?

Senzient

Efficacy Study of the Evolve Nervous System Reset Program

Can a VR-based biofeedback program effectively reduce stress and burnout in working professionals? Can a lightweight, immersive EEG system deliver signal quality comparable to gold-standard laboratory equipment? Could this redefine how neurophysiological research is conducted outside traditional lab settings?

Internship Opportunities

IACS is an active collaborator with the UCLA Psychology Department. UCLA undergraduate students can earn credit for PSYC195B through interning at IACS for the quarter.

Other volunteering opportunities, such as a summer internship or as a visiting research assistant from any institutionmay also be available. For more information, find the prospective intern guide below.
