About IACS
IACS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research institute that is dedicated to advancing our understanding of consciousness through rigorous scientific investigation. Our institute operates thanks to the support of a diverse range of funding sources, including traditional research grants, at-cost scientific investigations into experiential technology, general operations donations from individuals who believe in our mission, and crowd-sourced scientific experiments. We believe that by combining these funding sources, we can pursue the most pressing research questions in a way that is both financially responsible and scientifically rigorous.
About the Film
Instructions for Leaving explores a unique intersection of consciousness research, declassified CIA history, and an in-depth personal experience at the Monroe Institute. Part investigation, part confession, the film follows a firsthand journey into altered states of awareness. As new material is uncovered and the journey continues, the film dares to unfold one of humanity’s most compelling mysteries: Are we more than our physical bodies? Your donations will be used solely to produce and complete a feature length film about the exploration of consciousness that will be filmed at The Monroe Institute in July 2026.
