Daisuke Narita is a 23-year-old researcher pursuing a master’s degree in cognitive neuroscience. His work focuses on enhancing awareness of mind-wandering through real-time auditory feedback. Passionate about unraveling the wisdom behind Vipassana meditation, he aims to merge cutting-edge technology with mindfulness practices. Daisuke is also interested in ultrasound-based brain stimulation (tFUS) and its applications in boosting mindfulness and meditation. Based in Tokyo, his ultimate goal is to democratize insight (prajna) and develop technologies that enable anyone to achieve enlightenment. Beyond research, Daisuke is inspired by interdisciplinary approaches and hopes to pioneer impactful advancements in human consciousness and neuroscience.

What drew you to consciousness
Practicing Vipassana meditation inspired me to explore the nature of consciousness. The profound insights gained through meditation motivated me to study how neuroscience and technology can enhance awareness, understand the mind, and ultimately help others achieve wisdom and enlightenment.
