Arthur Juliani Ph.D. is a research scientist interested in the structure and evolution of phenomenal experience as it ultimately relates to human wellbeing. He has studied this broad topic from a variety of perspectives, ranging from purely philosophical inquiry to empirical psychological study to abstract computational modeling. At IACS he is currently studying the capacity for artificial agents to engage in the complex social inferences necessary to form caring and supportive relationships with human counterparts.
