Sasha is the director of collaborative Targeted Brain Stimulation clinical and research program on image-guided DBS, rTMS, LIFUP and other neuromodulation techniques in Anxiety Disorders with the department of Neurosurgery at UCLA. He is Executive Director of Tiny Blue Dot Foundation. He is Founder and CEO Brainsonix Corporation, a start-up company producing LIFUP/MR compatible devices for research.

What drew you to consciousness
Trying to understand how the brain processes information. I believe that consciousness is an evolutionarily developed way of synthesizing and processing information. Billions of cells interacting produce the epi-structure that allows us to retain and process multilevel information at a speed and complexity that is unparalleled in nature or technology.
